Treatment #3

My third chemo, but my second as an outpatient, so I got to keep my emotional support human this time. Next time Ill I have to do the whole thing on my own, including fetching my own snacks and waters from them snack cart. What a drag that will be. My appointment was at 8:30, which was a little later start than last time, and it basically took all day.

Ports can be a little fickle and mine was mildly uncooperative today. I had to stand up, raise my arm, cough and almost stand on my head to get the blood needed for my bloodwork. Finally we got it and got the go ahead to proceed with treatment.

I started with pre-medication again and then we went on to the good stuff. I read a little bit and did some napping. Even though I take oral steroids and get IV steroids during treatment, chemo still wears me out quite a bit and I end up sleeping quite a bit between naps and going to bed early and sleeping all night.
