The Bee Team was created in December 2025. After ending up in the ER for pain and shortness of breath, I was admitted to the hospital with fluid in my chest cavity that caused my left lung to collapse. During the scans that found this, they also found a mass in spleen and my pancreas. I had biopsy and a week later was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma.
The Bee Team is where my friends and family come together to get updated on my journey and how they can support us.
Previously I was using my personal Facebook and Instagram accounts to update. However, Meta has been using AI to moderate their platforms and has been issuing false suspensions and bans. My Instagram account was suspended in December for 2 days under a false accusation of violating community standards. I was given no warning, no idea what may have triggered it, but I was able to appeal and my account was restored with a “whoops, sometimes we get it wrong, but we have to act to protect the community. Sorry you didn’t get to use the platform for a little while”.
On February 3 I woke up and attempted to log in to my Instagram and Facebook accounts for my morning scroll, only to find that both accounts had been permanently disabled for violating community standards with no warning, no specific post, no ability to appeal or request review. This has happened to millions of users across the globe.
